Ezio Bortolussi – Principal (Rest in peace)
As the co-founder of NEWWAY, Ezio Bortolussi had decades of construction formwork experience. He was well known within the industry for his straightforward and honest approach to business. Ezio oversaw all aspects of NEWWAY’S business activities to ensure that the company’s dedication to quality and client satisfaction was reflected in each and every NEWWAY Project. He will be missed by all.
Sal Giantomaso – Principal
Co-founder of NEWWAY, Salvatore Giantomaso, with his decades of experience has allowed NEWWAY to reach markets outside British Columbia. His broad management and field work experience are valuable assets in directing the daily operations of any complex project.
Nancy Chin – Controller
Nancy has an extensive financial management background with decades of experience. She is directly responsible for strategic planning, accounting, legal and risk management issue for the entire NEWWAY Group.
Rick Ott – Director of Operations
Rick started as a labourer at a formwork rental company in Kelowna during the summer holidays when he was 16. He received his Red Seal as a journeyman carpenter in 1993. He worked on numerous projects as a lead carpenter and layout man in Kelowna and Vancouver before joining Newway in 1999.
Rick has worked through all facets of the formwork trade (carpenter, layout, site foreman and assistant project manager) on a number of landmark buildings in Vancouver such as: Bentall 5 (22 story office tower), Firenze and Espana (4 towers of 32-35 stories), Quintet phase 1 (2 towers of 16 stories and townhouses), 745 Thurlow (24 stories), Shangri-La (62 stories – tallest building in Vancouver). After successfully completing his most recent role of Project Manager at the Parq – Vancouver Urban Resort and Casino, he was asked to come into head office as a Director of Operations. With his field experience and eye for detail, he will give added insight while reviewing and issuing contracts, developing site plans and schedules, monitoring change orders and extras. He is providing our clients with value engineering, saving them both time and money on their projects.
